She was dewormed with Ivermectin in Dec. and the test was negative. This was very helpful for me to know what her future deworming needed to be.

The results were easy to access and to read. You can count me in as a returning customer! I plan on testing every 3 months; I love that I can purchase all the tests I'll need for the entire year and the lab will send me kits when it's time to retest!

Going against his advice (it happens!) I searched the web and found Horsemen's Laboratory. Horsemen's Lab mailed me sample kits which are simple to complete and provided return postage. I sent off a sample and received an email response within a weeks time. While the format of the email is mess I was able to quickly find the PDF report which was concise and easy to read. That after all is important to us. Now we know that worming is a must and a program needs to be implemented. I can trust Horsemen's Lab for all my follow up fecal testing as we evaluate if our worming program is successful. I recommend their services

I have used them for OVER a year now and each time I do not get a Negative stool result which I am actually glad to see. This informs me that maybe the wormer I used 3 weeks prior doesn't work well for my horse. I have noticed certain types of wormers give me Negative stool results every time and others have given me 100, 200 and 300 eggs/gm. I have also moved my horse to an area with less horses therefore exposing less possibilities of her getting worms and ALL horses there are on a regular routine. I want to thank Dr. Byrd again for the best Lab out there for worm checking. :-D

It helps me know how my horse is doing and if there is potentially problems in her grazing areas. Spring is here and therefore bot eggs and other worms are on the rise. It is very important to monitor your horses stools to see just how infected they might be, especially if you are not on a good de-worming rotational routine. I also check to see what wormers seem to work and which ones don't by using Horsemen's Laboratory. Keep up the great work and thank you for having this opportunity for me and my mare Skye!!

I use a product called Equipride licks that has Diatomaceous Earth in it so I have been skeptical whether or not it was working. I have checked fecal counts against our dude ranch horses that do not get the product verus my personal ones who do and my counts have been very low to negative. I have cut back my wormings by more than half even with them exposed to the other horses. Thanks for the peace of mind.

He was 300 lbs or so underweight, bald and in just terrible condition. Im not a sappy person, but Im almost crying now telling you about him. How did such a fine horse as he end up in a place like that? Didnt he EARN a good retirement and health care until he died? Im asking for a one time donation to help the horses at my farm Anything will help, no amount is too small. The horses will stay on my farm (120 acres) until they die or in some instances find another home. I am not an official horse rescue Im nobody I just care about the horses that were bred and used and then thrown away. Please help the horses that no one remembers We have over 60 head now I bought one horse out of the kill pen that belonged to a famous country western singer and actor!! I have an old mare (34) that I took cause her owner couldnt keep her. We have a miniature donkey that someone drug with a chain in his mouth knocked out some teeth, actually cut some of his lower lip off. He is ok and loved now. I pay for everything out of my pocket As a horse person you know how much worm medicine and farriers cost Most of the horses are old or debilitated in some way My vet bill is astronomical I need a lot of specialized feed See if you can find it in your heart to help these forgotten ones!! Normally my horses get wormed every 3 months and I sent samples the day before they were wormed by my vet(he has a "plan" that he offers his clients) which means that they had not been wormed in three months prior to the samples being taken.I will definatley use this service again. I am also going to suggest this service to my friends to try.

Every horse owner should do this - anybody who gives their horse chemical dewormers without even knowing if it's necessary - just because "that's what everybody does" or "we've always done it" is doing their horse a disservice. By monitoring my horse's fecal results through Horsemen's Laboratory, diligently picking fields, and feeding all-natural dewormer supplements, I have been able to completely eliminate commercial daily feed supplement dewormers and paste dewormers (both of which are artificial at best, and poisonous at worst, not to mention expensive) from my horse's life. Now that is a super result!!

This is especially improtant to me because I have requested that my vet perform this test for me and the vet refused! The vet told me to just worm my horse. Dr. Byrd has been very helpful providing me with information about how this test was used to prove the effectiveness of the wormers commonly in use. If you believe in the effectiveness of the wormers, you believe in this test.
